The Teresian Province of Our Lady of Peace has lived with deep gratitude and spirit of communion the beginning of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Society of St. Teresa of Jesus, joining the entire Teresian Family extended in the 21 countries where the Society is present. In tune with the official opening held in Zaragoza, in the Basilica of Pilar, during the feast of St. Henry of Osso, the communities of the Province have gathered in prayer to give thanks for the gift of these 150 years of life, mission and fidelity to the founding charism.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

In Nicaragua<\/strong>, the Teresian communities joined in a meaningful prayer of thanksgiving, celebrating the spiritual heritage received and renewing their commitment to the educational and evangelizing mission that characterizes the Society. In Granada<\/strong>, the Teresian Family of Sacred Heart Teresian School and St. Teresa of Jesus School Center (Los Cocos) participated in a prayerful meeting on January 26, in gratitude for the presence and mission of the Society for a century and a half. In a fraternal spirit, sisters and laity gave thanks together for the shared history and the hope that animates the present. <\/p>\n\n

Also in Cuba<\/strong>, the communities of Havana and Camag\u00fcey shared a fraternal time of prayer on the eve of the feast of St. Henry of Oss\u00f3 and the opening of the Jubilee Year, living this moment as an opportunity to renew their belonging to the Society and strengthen the bonds of communion. In Costa Rica,<\/strong> the community of Coronado celebrated a Teresian vigil on the night of January 26, recalling with gratitude the founding passion that gave birth to the Society and recognizing the apostolic action that continues to be alive today in each community. <\/p>\n\n

Likewise, in the United States, <\/strong>the communities of Covington and Miami were united in prayer on the night before the feast of St. Henry and the official beginning of the Jubilee celebration. Spiritually connected with the whole Society, they lived this beginning as a time of grace, giving thanks for 150 years of history and renewing their commitment to continue making the Teresian charism present wherever they are sent. <\/p>\n\n

In this way, the Province of Our Lady of Peace has begun the Jubilee Year with a deep sense of gratitude, communion and hope, celebrating not only a historic date, but the fidelity of God throughout these 150 years and the renewed commitment to continue the mission that St. Henry de Osso entrusted to the Society of St. Teresa of Jesus.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
