She was the <strong>first prefect of studies<\/strong> and actively participated in the government of the Society. Enrique de Oss\u00f3 defined her as a \"woman of talent and good spirit\", and she was one of his closest collaborators in times of difficulty. She was <strong>Secretary General <\/strong>and Saturnina Jass\u00e1's right-hand woman. She was a practical, lucid and decisive woman.      <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\"Apostolic soul, magnanimous heart and clear intelligence. Apostolic disposition at the service of education. She lived and taught that the Teresian \"must be a martyr of study, if necessary\". She was a woman of extraordinary rectitude and a friend of the truth who was not duplicitous\".<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stjteresianas.org\/sites\/default\/files\/content\/file\/2021\/03\/09\/131\/h-stj-la-compania-obra-predilecta-de-enrique-de-osso.pdf\">(History of the Company<\/a>, Volume I)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Born in <strong>Calaceite (Teruel) on March 3, 1851<\/strong>, Saturnina is the <strong>central figure<\/strong> of the first hour. Of firm character and great interior life, she was the <strong>first Superior General of the Society.<\/strong> Her leadership was not based on command, but on example and fruitful silence. Her loyalty to St. Henry and her ability to support the sisters in moments of great uncertainty made her the reference of maternal authority par excellence.    <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\"<em>Saturnina was a woman of extraordinary personality and unusual human qualities.
