The Teresian Sisters of Osso have begun the commemorative year of their 150th anniversary with a profoundly ecclesial, communitarian and missionary experience that has united sisters, laity, educators, Teresian Family and former students in the different countries where it is present.
The official beginning of the Jubilee Year, celebrated on the feast of St. Henry of Osso, has been marked in the different provinces of the Society by Eucharistic celebrations, community meetings, institutional events, cultural activities and pastoral proposals that have sought to express, in a simple and meaningful way, gratitude for the shared history and hope for the future. In all contexts -educational, parochial and social- the validity of the Teresian charism and its capacity to continue offering an educational and evangelizing proposal with its own identity was highlighted.
The different communities and works of the Society have experienced this kick-off as a true family event. The grateful memory of these 150 years of life and mission was united to the renewed commitment to continue forming people based on Christian humanism, with an eye on the current challenges of the Church and society. The active participation of students, teachers, administrative teams, families and collaborators has evidenced the shared dimension of the charism and mission.
