We celebrate

"In the early morning, he woke up thinking again about the situation of young girls and came up with the idea of an association of women teachers to regenerate the world by educating according to the spirit of St. Teresa of Jesus (...).

The impression it made on him was so great, and feeling that God is very fond of having no limits placed on his works, he got out of bed and wrote a draft, on a double sheet horizontally."

Time is urgent and circumstances are pressing

We too, like Henry, feel that our time urges us on and our circumstances are pressing.

This, however, is not new. We have been listening to the reality of our suffering world for 150 years.

Today, as yesterday and as tomorrow, we continue striving to respond to the needs of humanity in a creative and consistent way that is rooted in the Gospel of Jesus of Nazareth and moves us roll up our sleeves and get to work!

Inspiration

Every great work is born small, fragile, hesitant. That is how it is in nature and that is also demonstrated by history. A small spark ignites a great light, a small mustard seed grows to become a leafy tree, a small idea can give birth to great projects...

The spark that lit the fire and gave life to the Society was a sleepless night when Henry de Ossó heard God's desire before a wounded and desolate world: to create an association to regenerate the world through the education of women in the spirit of St. Teresa of Jesus. Was it inspiration? Was it a dream? Henry decided to listen to this intuition...

And since then... until today!

150 years of history incarnated and updated in a charism that always seeks to respond to the cries of the world through education and Teresian spirituality.

Meaning

The Teresian Sisters of Henry de Ossó are convinced that following the invitation that Jesus makes to each person is the way to discover the fullest meaning of life.

For us, this call, heard in the depths of our hearts, led us one day to become part of the Society of St. Teresa of Jesus, a choice that fulfills us, expands our hearts and leads us to be in the world in a concrete way that brings us joy: educators by vocation.

This year we celebrate and give thanks for our life, for the gift of our vocation and the charism we have received.

Hope

"But when I saw the principal thing, I hoped that the Lord would do the rest" ( Foundations 2:5).

We live from Hope, in capital letters. Hope is not naivety; it is an active and confident expectation. Hope is to move forward in the midst of difficulties, knowing in Whom we have placed our trust and maintaining the certainty that He always accompanies us and sustains us.

For our part, we can only listen, always ready to hear that whispering voice that speaks to us from deep within and sets us in motion, always moving forward, with renewed enthusiasm every day.

We walk with determined determination because the times are urgent and circumstances are pressing.
