In this time of Easter, the Society of St. Teresa of Jesus wants to be present to congratulate the entire Teresian Family. We celebrate the Resurrection as a time of new life, renewed hope and missionary impulse.
With joy, we also announce the beginning of the second stage of the 150th anniversary, a stage focused on meaning: BEING TERESIAN: A LIFE WITH MEANING. This stage will take place from April 2 to August 26 and we are invited to recognize our roots and renew our commitment to our common project. This special time seeks to strengthen the sense of belonging and the bonds between sisters from different countries, promoting the exchange of experiences and mutual enrichment. It will also celebrate with joy and depth the path traveled by the Teresian Family, thanking the legacy and charism received from Enrique de Ossó.
We want to make this Easter time an opportunity to return to the origin and discover in it the strength and meaning of our mission today. As an expression of this resurgence of the Teresian vocation throughout the Society, various provinces and teams are promoting campaigns and initiatives that will help us to live this meaning today:
- IDEO is developing a creative and close campaign that presents the figure of Enrique de Ossó from a young, modern and current point of view, imagining what his presence in social networks would be like nowadays. (1) Facebook
- The Center for Integration and Teresian Spirituality (CIEST) will promote talks and spaces for reflection, such as the discussion “Enrique de Ossó, founder”, which will allow a deeper understanding of his legacy and current events. (1) Facebook
- The Network of Teresian Schools of the Americas will promote a series of videos that will highlight the impact of Teresian education in the different educational contexts of the continent. This initiative seeks to share experiences and reflections that make visible the richness of the educational mission in each country, through a sequence organized according to the order of foundation of the works. The videos will be broadcast for ten months starting in April. Facebook
- The Province of Mexico will make known, through audiovisual materials, the life and contribution of the 8 foundresses, bringing their testimony to the new generations. Facebook
- In addition, the Communication Team of the General Government will produce infographics on the first foundresses – the eight women who, together with Enrique de Ossó, made possible the birth of the Society – to rediscover the richness of our origins. (1) Facebook
We are sure that during this Easter season new proposals will continue to emerge, fruit of the creativity, shared life and commitment of so many people who are part of this great Teresian family. We want to deeply thank the participation, involvement and enthusiasm of all those who are making it possible for this anniversary to be truly collaborative, a reflection of a family that is alive and on the way.
May the new life of the Risen Christ renew in all of us the joy, hope and commitment to continue making the Teresian charism present in the world. Stay tuned to the networks and don’t miss anything!
