As part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Society of St. Teresa of Jesus, a series of retreats is being made available to the entire Congregation for the months of February to June 2026. This proposal is born as an invitation to stop, make silence and return to the heart of our Teresian vocation, thanking for the road we have traveled and opening ourselves, with hope, to the present and the future.
These retreats are not only a commemoration of a significant date. They want to be, above all, a time of grace, a careful space for personal and community encounter with God, from the spirituality of Teresa of Jesus and the charism received from Enrique de Ossó. In a context marked by the accelerated pace, the multiple tasks and challenges of our time, we are offered the opportunity to stop, listen and allow ourselves to be renewed interiorly.
Throughout the different months, each retreat proposes a prayerful itinerary that integrates silence, the Word, Teresian texts, grateful memory and a believing reading of reality. It is an experience that invites us to pray with our own life, with our personal and community vocational history, and with the cries of the world that challenge our mission today.
A common feature of all the retreats is the call to return to the sources: to the first love that called us, to the passion for the interests of Jesus, to the desire to "be all of Jesus" and to live "to the greater glory of God". From this root, each meeting opens up questions that help us discern how to care for life, mission, community and creative fidelity to the charism today, where it is most needed.
This series of retreats also aims to strengthen our sense of belonging and family. To celebrate 150 years is to recognize that we are part of a history woven by many women who have preceded us and who, with their faith and dedication, made possible the Society that we are today.
The materials are designed to be lived both personally and in community, respecting the different rhythms and realities. May these retreats be a threshold of encounter, listening and sending, to continue to make the Kingdom present wherever life cries out to be accompanied. The first one is already available on this website, in the materials section!
