Celebrating and giving thanks for our history implies stopping not only at the concrete beginning of our foundation in Tortosa in 1876. But in the birth and development of each work, each inspired vocation, each educated child, each adolescent and accompanied adult... As in our logo, this celebration is universal because we we weave it among all those who form the Teresian Family.
We strongly invite you to be the protagonists of this 150th anniversary. Encourage yourselves throughout these months to think, organize and celebrate events that are appropriate to your local realities. And, in turn, participate, in whatever way you can, in person or virtually, in the celebrations and events that the organizing committee offers us, as well as use the materials that we find available on this commemorative website. And don't forget to tell us all about it!
To begin this concert of distant voices that converge in a common background music, we propose to start the celebration of our anniversary in a simple way, which at the same time wants to be universal and of communion. There will not be a single Eucharist but multiple Masses in each of our local realities in the 22 countries of Africa, Asia and Europe where we are present.
This January 27, the General Government, located in Zaragoza (Spain), will share in photo and video format, through social networks, the main moments of the Eucharist shared with all the communities in the area that will take place in the city's Basilica del Pilar. But, from the communication team and the organizing committee of the 150th, we believe that it will be a nice start if, at least, in digital mode, we share a joint vision of all the celebrations, with their own nuances and characteristics.
For this reason, we ask that on that day you post on your social networks snapshots of your Eucharist, tagging the social networks of the general curia(X, Facebook, Instagram) and using the hashtag: #150stj
And, in addition, we ask you to take pictures that day and send them to us along with a few lines, by email to comunicacion.equipo@stjteresianas.org so we can share them on our website. And of course, we hope you will continue to send us information of your festive events throughout the year.
