The celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Teresian Province of Mexico was a time of encounter marked by joy, gratitude and hope. Educational communities, those in charge of the different apostolic works and sisters walked together, making visible a province that is alive, close and committed to the reality it serves today.
The celebrations were characterized by their diversity and creativity. There were Eucharistic celebrations and times of prayer, but also moments of conviviality and celebration: games, sports competitions, pilgrimages and even karaokes were part of this celebratory mosaic. Each gesture helped to look at the road traveled with gratitude and to recognize the generous dedication of so many sisters and lay people who have sustained and enriched the Teresian mission in Mexico. At the center of it all was the Teresian family, a concrete expression of the work shared among educators, students, families and collaborators.
Of course, the anniversary celebration was also lived as a profoundly educational and pastoral experience. Girls, boys and young people were protagonists through formative, cultural and festive activities that strengthened the sense of belonging. In these spaces, essential values of the Teresian charism were rekindled, such as meaningful leadership, service, fraternity and hope.
January 27 was an invitation to continue walking boldly into the future. With the richness of its history and the strength of a shared mission, the Teresian Province of Mexico renews its commitment to respond creatively to the social and educational challenges of the country, convinced that the mission continues and continues to bear fruit.
